Judah is a gentle and cautious dog that could use some motivation in getting to know others and learning to socialize without worry. It is recommended that children in her new home be at least middle school-aged and that other dogs be calm due to Judah being cautious and concerned with others. When handlers place their hands in the kennel, she presses against their hands with all her might, rolling over on her back, and purring to further express her enjoyment of the attention. Simba is a two-year-old neutered male German shepherd. In the play yard, he intermixed with the other dogs and gave good greetings. Despite that, he still prefers interacting with people and exploring the yard on his own. The Lancaster Animal Care Center is recommending he go to a home with calm dogs if there are any. If there are children in the home, it is recommended that they be middle school-aged or older. Ellie is a four-year-old spayed female pit bull. She is a staff favorite but is becoming one of the care center’s longest residents. She has a lot of affectionate energy when interacting with handlers. She gave dogs in the play group good greetings but disregarded boundaries that other dogs tried to communicate. If there are children in the home, it is recommended they are middle school-aged or older. It is recommended she go to a home with no other dogs.
