Animal name: Arie

Arie is a nine-year-old spayed female blue pit bull. Arie was first adopted from the Lancaster Animal Care Center in 2012. She has come back to visit a couple times over the years due to getting out of her yard. In play group, she prefers to be alone and shows no interest in playing with the other dogs. Due to this, she is required to go to a home with no other dogs. If children are in the home, they must be high school age or older. When interacting with staff and handlers, Arie is always eager for attention, leans in to pets and excited for walks. She is one of the longest residents at the shelter. She would make a great buddy to go on walks with and then relax on the couch with.  See Arie by calling the center at 661-940-4191 and making an appointment.

Animal name: Weasley

Weasley is a six-month-old neutered male orange and white domestic shorthair. He was adopted and returned for being “too hyper.” He is a kitten, so this is to be expected to some degree, but at the Lancaster Animal Care Center he is an absolute love bug. While being pet, he chirps, meows, purrs and rubs up on visitors’ hands. In kennel he is quiet and calm. He has some energy but also loves to have attention. Meet Weasley by calling the center at 661-940-4191 and making an appointment.

He came into the Lancaster Animal Care Center as an owner surrender and has now been there for a few months. He is ideal as a new furry friend that does not get free roam of the house/yard. Visit Peppers by calling the center at 661-940-4191 and making an appointment.
