John is a five-month-old gray tabby neutered male domestic shorthaired cat. He was brought to the Lancaster Animal Care Center as a stray and was abandoned with another cat. He is a very sweet, gentle boy that is good with other cats. He is lonely in the cat room and would make the best roommate for someone that has time to devote to him. Animal name: Chastity

Chastity is a three-year-old, brown-brindle, spayed female pit bull that has been at the Lancaster Animal Care Center since March. She’s had several interested adopters, but she has had a hard time finding her home due to her requirements. She gets anxious with new dogs but will relax and play after she feels comfortable. The behavior team is requiring Chastity to go to a home with children middle school-aged and over and calm dogs if there are any. Meet Chastity by calling the center at 661-940-4191 or sending email to acclancaster@animalcare.lacounty.gov and making an appointment.

Animal name: Jenny

Jenny is about three years old and has been at the Lancaster Animal Care Center since  May — but she originally came to the center in 2019. This is her second time at the center. She is easy to leash and happily trots right along your side. She enjoys exploring her surroundings and knows how to “sit” (especially for a cookie); you’ll be smitten when she leans against your leg and give you kisses. She would be best in a household that has calm dogs and children middle school-aged or older. She also is a foster candidate. See Jenny by calling the center at 661-940-4191 or sending email to acclancaster@animalcare.lacounty.gov and making an appointment.
