LANCASTER — The University of Antelope Valley women’s basketball team blew out Westcliff University, 113-39, for their fourth straight victory in a non-conference game at the Pioneer Event Center on Monday.

Senior guard Daizah Pounds led the Pioneers (13-3) with a game-high 18 points, including four 3-pointers, while junior guard Kaylyn James added 17 points, two assists and one steal and sophomore forward Alexia Budd picked up 16 points and nine rebounds.

UAV junior guard Asia Young recorded 10 points with seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal, while senior guard T’airah Pryor scored nine points with two assists and two steals and junior guard Denisha Spivey added eight points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals.

The Pioneers now travel to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona for a California Pacific Conference game on Thursday.
