AVC Men’s Golf
BAKERSFIELD — The Antelope Valley College men’s golf team finished seventh with a scored of 467 in the first Western State Conference meet of the season at Bakersfield Country Club on Monday.
Santa Barbara took first followed by College of the Canyons in second and Ventura in third. The Marauders were two strokes behind sixth-place Allan Hancock.
Freshman Brennen Boulger led AVC by shooting an 80, which was the 12th best score out of the 54-player field.
“Didn’t get the results we were hoping for in our first conference competition,” AVC coach Brad Hazard said. “Need to recover and improve as we move forward. It was good to see Brennen out there competing in his first college tourney.”
The next conference match will be at Alisal Ranch Golf Course in Solvang next Monday.
