Kelly, balanced Oregon St. beat UCLA
CORVALLIS, Ore. — Kylor Kelley was a perfect six for six from the field and had 14 points and five blocks as Oregon State defeated UCLA 79-66 on Sunday night.
Ethan Thompson and Stephen Thompson Jr. each added 17 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Beavers (11-4, 3-0 Pac-12).
Kris Wilkes had 21 points with four 3-pointers and Prince Ali added 13 points for the Bruins (10-7, 3-1), who lost their first game in four tries under interim coach Murry Bartow.
Oregon men beat USC to snap skid
EUGENE, Ore. — Paul White and Louis King each scored 19 points as Oregon raced past Southern California 81-60 on Sunday night.
Will Richardson had 11 points and Victor Bailey Jr. 10 for the Ducks (10-6, 1-2 Pac-12), the preseason conference favorite, who were coming off an 87-84 overtime loss to UCLA after leading by nine in the final minute.
Jonah Mathews led the Trojans (9-8, 2-2) with 15 points. Bennie Boatwright had 13 and Nick Rakocevic 11.
No. 5 Oregon women rout UCLA
LOS ANGELES — Ruthy Hebard had 19 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, Satou Sabally added 19 points and No. 5 Oregon routed UCLA 72-52 on Sunday for its eighth straight victory.
Hebard’s double-double was her fourth in six career games against the Bruins (9-8, 2-3 Pac-12), who dropped their fifth in a row to the Ducks (15-1, 4-0).
Michaela Onyenware led the Bruins with 13 points, under her leading average of 16.8. She was held to three field goals and two free throws in the second half. Japreece Dean added 11 points.
No. 10 Oregon St. women overwhelm USC
LOS ANGELES — Mikayla Pivec scored 19 of her 21 points in the second half and No. 10 Oregon State routed USC 76-52 on Sunday.
The Trojans were led by Minyon Moore’s 21 points. Aliyah Mazyck added 10 points for USC.
