The Genesis Gymnastics team traveled to Reno, Nevada, to compete in the Regional Championships against the best gymnasts in Northern California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada and came home with nine all-around medalists.
Leading the Genesis team was Jasmine Chao, who became the all-around gold medalist with a score of 38.20, bringing home gold on beam and vault, a fourth-place finish on bar and a fifth-place finish on floor.
Finishing third in the all-around was Cambria Davis with a 37.925 bringing home gold on beam and a seventh place finish on floor, eighth place on bars and ninth on vault. Sister Avonlea Davis also took third in her division with a 37.85, placing second on bars, fifth on beam, sixth on floor and 10th on vault.
Brianna Fischenich took second in her division with a 37.725, placing fourth on vault and bars, fifth on beam and ninth on floor.
Leigh Spinelle took fourth in the all-around with a 37.70, bringing home a gold medal on vault (9.7) and placing sixth on bars and seventh on floor. Ashley Saunders was fifth in her division with a 37.725, placing fifth on bars and seventh on floor.
Sadee Duarte was was seventh in her division with a 36.80, placing third on beam, eighth on floor, ninth on vault and 10th on bars. Jenna Christensen was 10th in the all-around with a 36.225, placing seventh on vault and 10th on floor. Hannah Carlon was 13th in the all-around and brought home second on beam, third on floor and fifth on vault.
In level 7, Jade Peck scored a 37.05 placing third on bars, eighth on beam and ninth on floor.
The level 8 and 9 teams, competing in the Regional Championships in Las Vegas, brought home a few more medals.
In level 8, Kelsey Bermudez Miller took 10th place on the beam. In level 9, Marley Namm brought home a ninth on the bars and teammate Nomi Kubo was eighth on bars and the alternate to represent the AV in the National Championships with her score of 35.95.
