GOLDEN —  The following Genesis boys took home gold medals at the Guonian Wu Gymnastics Classic earlier this month; Back row: Jonathan Lewelling, Adam Madrid, Charles Weathers, Carlos DeLeon and Derric Concepcion; Front row: JR Deocariza, Colin Shields, Tyon Abeln and Johnny Toomy.

The Genesis Gymnastics boys team brought home four all-around titles from the Guonian Wu Gymnastics Classic earlier this month.

Representing the level 8 team, Derric Concepcion won the all-around with a 69.60, placing second on floor (11.9), fifth on pommel (8.9) and first on rings (11.0), vault (12.2), parallel bars (12.5) and high bar (12.2).

J.R. Deocariza took first in level 7 with a 60.70, placing second on floor (10.8), third on pommel (9.7), first on rings (10.8), second on vault (8.5), second on parallel bars (10.5) and first on high bar (10.4). 

Nicholas Weathers was the all-around level 5 champion with a 56.10, placing first on floor (9.5), first on pommel (9.7), third on rings (8.9), first on vault (9.5), first on parallel bars (9.6) and first on high bar (8.9). 

Also taking first place in his division in level 5 was Colin Shields with a 52.60, placing first on floor (8.3), second on pommel (9.2), first on vault (9.9), first on parallel bars (9.3) and second on high bar (8.0).

Carlos DeLeon was third in the all-around with a 56.10 in level 6, placing third on floor (10.0), fourth on pommel (9.0), first on rings (10.10), first on parallel bars (10.10) and fifth on high bar (8.7). Also in level 6, Adam Madrid took fifth with a 55.40, placing first on high bar (9.7), fifth on parallel bars (9.6), fifth on vault (8.4) and third on pommel (9.6). 

Johnny Toomy took second place all-around honors in level 5 with a 54.00, placing third on floor (8.4), third on pommel (9.0), first on rings (9.5), second on parallel bars (9.4) and fourth on high bar (8.6). Jonathan Lewelling finished fifth in level 5 with a 55.60, placing fifth on high bar (9.2), first on vault (9.6), sixth on rings (9.1) and fifth on floor (9.8). 

Also in level 5, Charles Weathers finished seventh in the all-around with a 53.20, placing sixth on high bar (8.8) and fifth on floor (9.8), while Austin Robles took sixth on rings and high bar and Zach Greer took took fourth on floor, rings and vault.

Tyon Abeln took second in the all-around for level 7 with a 55.50, placing fourth on floor (9.7), first on pommel (9.8), first on rings (10.4), third on vault (8.3), third on parallel bars (8.8) and fourth on high bar (8.5). Ray New finished third on pommel (9.2), fourth on rings (8.8) and fourth on parallel bars (8.2) in level 7.
