How excited are folks to getting back to doing it in the dirt?
Record breaking excited, if the Best in the Desert Off Road Series is any indication.
A record 275 entries are set to go in the BITD VT Construction Silver State 300 presented by Polaris RZR.
The previous record for Silver State 300 entries was 227.
The number could go even higher by the time the green flag drops on June 25.
“What a way to get back to racing,” said Best in the Desert CEO Bryan Folks, the son of founder Casey Folks. “We are overwhelmed by the support of the racing community.
“We can’t wait to see everyone in Las Vegas.”
The event begins in Alamo, Nev. and concludes in Las Vegas on June 27.
A record total of 94 UTV’s are entered, including longtime UTV star Brett Sourapas.
Thirty-One Class 6100 trucks will go to the starting line.
They’ll be joined by 78 motorcycles.
Jason Voss, Bryce Menzies and Justin Lofton are some of the desert truck stars set to race.
Double points will be awarded for the event.
The Silver State 300 will be crucial toward qualifying for the new Adventure Racing Series, which is also being referred to as the COVID-19 Championship.
The 2020 Jagged X Desert Cup, the Vegas to Reno race that is the longest off road event in the United States and the Bluewater Desert Challenge make up the Adventure Racing Series.
