Palmdale queens Gomez

Larissa Gomez, 10, the daughter of David and Irene Gomez, of Palmdale, was crowned Young Miss Palmdale Community Queen on June 5 at Valley View Church of Nazarene.

Gomez is a home-schooled Blue Ridge Academy sixth-grader.

She is in a program called Looking Ahead, specifically designed for young professional actors who are current members of SAG-AFTRA. She is also a Pledge Rainbow Girl with the Palmdale Masonic Lodge. She plays her guitar and writes her own music and lyrics. She has assisted with pet adoptions and animal rescue. Larissa is an avid reader.

She is a professional actress and says she wants to continue acting but still wants to go to college and become a dental hygienist and will think about continuing her education to be a  dentist after the first few years of college.

As a queen, Gomez’s mission is to spread a message to her peers of following the three golden rules her parents raised her to follow: 1. Be good; 2. Work hard; and 3. Do the right thing.
