MOJAVE — Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials on Wednesday released the name of the man whose remains were found on an East Kern property just over a year ago.

A coroner’s investigation determined that Robert Chezeskny, 67, of Los Angeles, died of natural causes.

There was nothing suspicious and there is no further investigation into the matter, Sheriff’s officials said.

The remains were found shortly before noon on May 2, 2019, on property in the 8500 block of Long Butte Road, between Rosamond and Mojave.

The property had been unused for quite some time when the property owner found the remains, officials said.

The case was turned over to detectives until a cause of death could be determined.

Chezeskny was identified some months ago, but a public notice inadvertently was not released until this week.
