PALMDALE — The Palmdale School District kicked off its 2019 free summer lunch program Tuesday at four school sites and the Palmdale City Library.

The program is sponsored by the District in cooperation with the City of Palmdale.

The lunches are available for anyone 18 or younger. Meals must be consumed on the premises.

Palmdale School District staff will provide the lunches, which are designed to be healthy, nutritious and tasty.

Lunches will be served weekdays through July 31, except for July 4, at the following locations:

11 a.m.-noon, Domenic Massari Park, 37716 55th St. East.

11 a.m.-noon., Palmdale City Library, 700 East Palmdale Blvd.

11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., McAdam Park, 38115 30th St. East. 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Desert Sands Park, 39117 Third St. East.

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Joshua Hills Park, 3030 Fairfield Ave.

Participating sponsors include the  U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Research and Action Center, National League of Cities, Walmart Foundation and Waste Management.
