Lions Screenings

Friends in Sight had a vision screening in conjunction with the Lancaster and Palmdale Lions Clubs on Nov. 16.

Two hundred-twenty patients were seen for the day, of which 35 needed no prescription, 18 needed to be made at the optical lab and 167 received recycled eyeglasses.

Fifty-seven patients received eyeglasses for the first time, 64 patients 18 years old or younger were screened.

Another screening will be scheduled next year. All community members are welcomed to get screened.
