WILLOWBROOK (CNS) — A pedestrian fatally struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in the unincorporated Willowbrook area, was publicly identified Monday as a Lancaster resident.

Desiree Lumas was 54, the coroner’s office reported.

The fatality was reported about 6 p.m., Thursday in the area of Willowbrook Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard, according to the California

Firefighters responded to a report of a person down in front of an apartment building at that location, but did not transport anyone and cleared the scene less than 15 minutes after arriving, a dispatcher said.

A description of the vehicle that struck the woman was not available.

The CHP did not issue a press release providing additional details.
