PALMDALE — One person was arrested and 108 citations were issued when Palmdale Sheriff Station personnel and investigators from the Department of Motor Vehicles conducted a license plate enforcement operation Wednesday.

The operation was aimed at confirming vehicle registration and detecting stolen vehicles.

Officials focused on the high-volume commuter traffic areas of 10th Street West and Rancho Vista Boulevard (Avenue P) and 47th Street East and Avenue S.

Two drivers were cited or arrested for driver license violations and 28 vehicles were towed.
