LAKE LOS ANGELES — A man stabbed in Lake Los Angeles in the Antelope Valley was publicly identified Saturday.

Edward Cole, 31, of Lake Los Angeles died from a stab wound to the chest, the coroner’s office said.

Deputies responded about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 41700 block of 156th Street East and located the victim now identified as Cole, who was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead,  Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.

A news photographer at the scene reported that a woman was arrested at the scene and a knife was recovered.

The circumstances that led up to the stabbing were not disclosed.
