SANTA ANA (CNS) — Criminal charges were filed today against 29-year-old man who allegedly made seven consecutive hang-up calls to 911 and attacked Fullerton police who were sent to investigate.
Julian Delgadillo Jr. is charged with a felony count of resisting arrest and single misdemeanor counts of making annoying or harassing calls to 911 and resisting arrest.
Delgadillo allegedly called 911 seven times between 12:09 a.m. and 1:02 a.m. Monday, according to Fullerton police Lt. Jon Radus. When a dispatcher called back to ask if he had an emergency, he said, “yes,” and hung up again, Radus alleged.
The calls prompted police to go to his residence in the 2400 block of Daphne Place, but the defendant ran away from the officers, Radus said. After the officers caught up to him and attempted to detain him, he kicked and assaulted them multiple times, the lieutenant alleged.
