HOLLYWOOD HILLS (CNS) — A 34-acre brush fire in the Hollywood Hills near Burbank and Universal City was 15% contained by lines of cleared vegetation Saturday, authorities said.
“Ground and air crews will continue to battle the perimeter of the still-active wildfire, for which the containment goal remains within a ‘box’ west of Forest Lawn Cemetery, east of Coyote Canyon Drive, south of Forest Lawn Drive and north of Wonder View Drive,” Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
The Barham Fire was reported at 1:52 p.m. at 3694 North Barham Blvd., Humphrey said.
The forward progress of the blaze was stopped at 34 acres, he said.
There were no civilian injuries, Humphrey said. No structures were damaged and none imminently threatened, he said. No evacuations were ordered.
