WHITE, J. Albert
WHITE, J. Albert Al White, of Mars Hill, Maine, born on August 11, 1930, in Woodstock, Canada, to the late Maud Hovey White and the late Alexander White, passed away on September 6, 2018, in Lancaster, California. Al was the beloved husband of Barbara Leone White. He was preceded in death by his son, John White. Al is survived by his sons, David White and James White; daughters, Charlotte Shultz and Ruth McIntyre; sister, Margaret Adams; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He attended Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Al's career was in the banking industry. He was brought to the Antelope Valley in 1967 to manage the Palmdale branch of Security Pacific Bank, and he went on to be a bank manager at American National Bank. Al's hobbies included horseback riding with his step-daughter, Kristy Kimborough, golfing, coin collecting, reading, civil service, and fishing. He was a member of New Hope Church. He was a member of Kiwanis Club Palmdale. He served two terms on the Palmdale City Council in the 1970s. He was president of the Palmdale Airport Supporters. He was a delegate of the State League of California Cities, and a Shriner at the Al Malaikah Shrine, Antelope Valley Shrine Club. Friends and family can pay their respects at the celebration of life, officiated by Pastor Rob Dietzel, on Friday, September 14, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at Grace Chapel, 44648 15th Street West, Lancaster, CA 93534.
