WHELNPNER, Katlyn Alyse Whitfi
WHELNPNER, Katlyn Alyse Whitfield Born September 24, 1990, returned to Jesus August 6, 2018. Heaven has a new angel, ours. Katie's life verse was 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God." She was a rare soul who brought peace wherever she went and saw the good in all living things. Katie is survived by her mother Donna (John) Bunch-Sparks, Father Larry (Anita) Whitfield, the Love of her life Thomas Bennett, his children Wade, Khloee, Phoebee, and her greatest love, daughter Jenna. She also leaves brothers Jonathan, Tim, Ethan; sisters Makenna, Faith, sister of the heart Meaghan; grandparents Joan and Barry Hendon, Jessie Torres Whitfield, Debbie Howard; great grandparents Donato and Oralia Torres, Gladys Whitfield, and aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends Whom she loved deeply. Katie was completing her degree and worked with special education students that she treasured. Katie loved camping, dirt bike riding, teaching children to ballroom dance, rock collecting with her dad, and she loved having her mom do her house keeping. She enjoyed many outdoor activities with her love, Thomas, and was a champion hide and seek player with her daughter, Jenna. You will be missed Katerbug! Services will be held at the Wayside Chapel on Saturday, August 18, at 11:00 am. A luncheon reception will be held at the church following the service.
