TATE, Lowell Lee
TATE, Lowell Lee Born November 17, 1926 in Smithville, Okla. to Delbert Lee Tate and Rhoba Romine Tate and passed away March 10, 2018 in Palmdale, Calif. He lived in Smithville until the age of nine when the family moved to Tulare, Calif. Lowell was a Junior at Tulare Union High School when he was drafted into the United States Army at the age of 18. He went to Fort Walters Tex. for basic training then was trained to serve as a military policeman before being deployed to New Caledonia in the South Pacific. After two years of service, Sergeant Tate received an Honorable Discharge in 1946. Lowell is survived by his wife of over 71 years, Dixie Maxine Tate. There are 3 children (Patricia, Danny, and Pamela), 7 grand-children, and 7 great-grandchildren. Lowell Lee Tate will be buried with Military Funeral Honors at Bakersfield National Cemetary near Arvin, Calif.
