MARRS, Graham John
MARRS, Graham John Passed away January 26, 2018 at the age of 82 in Palmdale, Calif. with his children at his side.Graham was born August 21, 1935 in Birkenhead, England to Alexander and Mary Marrs.Graham earned his Degree in Engineering from the University of London. He married his wife Elizabeth Hill August 15, 1959 and immigrated to America in September 1966 to work for Lockheed. Graham was proud to become an American Citizen in 1976. Graham had a distinguished career as a Flight Test Engineer starting with British Aircraft Corporation.For Lockheed he worked on the C141A auto land program; was the lead analysis engineer for the C-5A automatic control systems; the L-1011 stability augmentation, autopilot, and auto land systems; and the S-3B Anti-Submarine Warfare plane. He was a co-inventor and patent recipient for an aircraft cruise speed control system.Grahams passion for excellence and devotion to youth soccer players led to the formation of the Antelope Valley Youth Soccer Club, the first club soccer organization in the Antelope Valley. He also volunteered as an AYSO coach and referee. Graham was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years Elizabeth and grandson Chance.Graham is survived by his children Beverley (Mark), Matthew (Inessa), and Stuart (Kari); Grandchildren Christopher (Lev), Nicholas (Kristina), Angela (Jefferey), Tyler, Austin, Ryan, Alena (Maks), Candace (Michael), Floyd, and Brian; Great grandchildren Tyler, Madisynn,Brycen and Aubrey.
