ULBERG, Amelia Millie Jane
ULBERG, Amelia "Millie" Jane Born December 6, 1939, in Lancaster, Calif. and passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2017. Millie spent her entire life in the Antelope Valley. The family lived on an alfalfa and sheep ranch on Lancaster's Eastside. She attended Eastside Grade. School and Antelope Valley High School. Millie obtained her Cosmetology license and began her decades long career as a hair stylist, owning and operating The Doll House Salon. Millie had a strong work ethic and it was common for her to work at her Salon from 7 am to 7pm. Millie married Wayne Ulberg in 1968, and at the time of her passing, they had been married 49 years. Wayne loved and cared for Millie throughout her long illness and stayed attentively by her side. In years past, Wayne and Millie enjoyed flying to their place in Boulder on the Colorado River and trips to the High Sierras to fish. Millie had a tender heart and always took such good care of and provided for her widowed Mother, Louise and sisters, Patricia "Patsy" and Catherine. Millie was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Emilio and Louise Cabarga, Sister Patricia "Patsy" Cabarga, Nephew Ron Ramey, and Stepson Mark Ulberg. She is survived by her husband Wayne Ulberg, stepdaughters Nancy Welty and Jill Norris, sister Catherine Howard, nieces Annette (Patrick) Donohue, Julie (Gailen) Kyle, nephew Maurice (Karina) Howard, and many Cousins, Great Nieces and Nephews, and friends. Services will be held graveside at Joshua Memorial Park Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11am.
