VELA, Donald Christopher
VELA, Donald Christopher Born Dec. 18, 1962 Santa Paula, Calif., passed away Oct. 2, 2017 at Palmdale Regional Hospital. He grew up in Fillmore, Calif and lived in the AV for 30 years. Working for Southern California Edison for 32 years, also DJ'd at several Weddings and at The Elks Lodge for 7 years, member of The Elks Lodge 1625 and Moose Lodge #507. He enjoyed riding his Harley, Fishing, Golfing, also played for the Toronto Blue Jays. Belonged to AV Harley Owners Group, AV So. Crusiers SCRC, and The Patriot Guard. Don was famous for his Tri-Tip that he cooked for The Harley HOG Group, Weddings and Parties. Your infectious Smile, Laughter and Jokes and most of all your precious singing! You will be missed. He is survived by his wife Estella Vela of 7 years. Children Krissy, Kimberly, Christine and Gabriel, Grandkids Rachel, Christian, Troah, Summer, Shawn, Skylar, Charolette, Emily and Preston. His only surviving Sister Katie, and Eddie, Andrew and Maggie Carrillo. Services will be on Saturday Oct. 14 at 11 am at the Hope Chapel 6015 W. Ave J8, Quartz Hill, Calif. Harley ride to the reception at The Elks Lodge #1625 240 E. Ave K, Lancaster, Calif.
