RODGER, Maryon Alexander
RODGER, Maryon Alexander Born April 5, 1921, Minneska, Minnesota, passed away Aug. 14, 2017 in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in Minnesota was a WWII Decorated Army Medic. He lived In AV since 1957. Rodger, as many called him was a long time aerospace worker. He also built his own "Model T" Roadster in the 1970's and handmade several musical instruments in later life. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his bravery in WWII. A lifetime member of VFW post 7283, serving as color guard for many years. Rodger lived everyday to the fullest and never considered himself old. He passed at 96 years young. He is survived by his wife, Maria Rodger; sons Angelo of Lancaster, Lonnie and daughter-in-law Glenda of Mojave; step-daughter Flory of Indiana; one grand child Andrea Garcia of Lancaster. Upon his request no services were held.
