LUERAS, Peter Vernard
LUERAS, Peter Vernard Aug. 1, 1931 - Jun. 20, 2017 Peter was born to Severo and Amada Lueras in Phoenix, Ariz., and grew up in Alameda, Calif., where he attended Castlemont High School in Oakland. Our father was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Army. A resident of the AV for 4 1/2 years, Peter was the CEO of Casa Grande Industries and Paramount Drilling and Pump company. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, boating and visiting Ensenada. Preceded in death by his wife, Toni Ingrahm Lueras, Peter is survived by daughters: Sharon A. Lueras of Sacramento, Calif., Julie Shemano Lueras of San Rafael, Calif., and Elysa Beth Lueras of Sacramento, Calif.; grandchildren: Saundra Rochelle OShea, Sophia Ray Shemano, Kellen Lueras Parrish, Leah Esther Parrish; great- grandchild: Demetri Bernard OShea; sisters: Eva Griego, Evelyn Lucero, Sophia Pointer, Mary Lueras, Lucille Nicoloro and Terry Lueras Allen; 15 nieces, and 10 nephews, and loving canine campanions: Swifty, Luther, Rudy, Alonzo, Fritz and Rosie. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:00 am, at Father Serra Parrish Church, 42121 60th Street West. Presided over by our fathers first cousin, Father Charles Lueras, of Santa Paula, Calif. Immediately following, there will be a reception for friends and family at our fathers home. The family would like to thank Morsa and Arturo. Our father had a very deep respect and appreciation for you. Please know he couldnt have done it without y ou.
