CURTIS, Paul
CURTIS, Paul Born Dec. 15, 1929 in Gardena, Calif. He was raised in Huntington and graduated from Huntington Park High School. A resident of the Av for 60 years, he passed away in Lancaster, Calif at his home. Paul served 4 years in the Korean war, stationed in Sasebo, Japan then Port Heuneme. Upon discharge from the Navy, he went to Northrop Aeronautical Institute and received his A&E Frame and Power Plant License. He worked for Convair, Lockheed and retired from Northrop after 25 years. His hobbies were bowling, billiards, and ballroom dancing. The latter was his favorite. He'd taken Arthur Murray dance lessons as a young man and never stopped dancing. Paul was a lover of life and very much a gentleman. He was a loyal family man and an awesome role model for his two daughters. He was non-judgemental and never said a mean word about anyone. Being on the quiet side he surprised people with his quirky sense of humor. He always made people laugh. Most of all, he was a lover of God and walked with him on a daily basis to help be the wonderful man he was. Paul is survived by daughters: Marilyn (Bob) Doidgeand Heidi (Sonny) Clark; grandsons: Doug, Dennis, and Shane; great- grandchildren: Mason, Garrett, and Delaney; siblings: Ruth Stowell, Robert Curtis, and Darlene Francis and their adult children. There will be no services per Pauls request.
