HACKER, John
HACKER, John Roland Passed away peacefully May 2, 2017 in Lancaster, Calif. Born May 25, 1935, John grew up in Miami, Fla., and joined the Army in 1955, where he was assigned to Ordinance Guided Missile School at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala. There he met and married Sylvia Ann Slate, his wife of 60 years. John had a 30 year career as an electronics engineer with Sanders Associates and Lockheed where he worked on the SR-71 and U-2 reconnaissance aircraft. After retirement, John loved to ride his dirt bike, play chess and debate politics with friends and plan his and Sylvia's next cruise. He is survived by wife, Sylvia; daughters: Kimberly Sue Johnson and Melody Ann Boyer; grandchildren: Lindsay and Lauren Johnson and Vivian and Connor Ward. Per John's request, no memorial services will be held. His ashes will be scattered among the beautiful, spring Tehachapi Mountains where he had the 'most fun of my life'.
