STEIGINGA, Henry STEIGINGA, Henry, age 95, went home to be with the Lord March 7, 2017, at home in Lancaster, Calif, surrounded by his family. He was born March 20, 1921, in Moline, Illinois, to Adrian and Martha Steiginga. He married Frances Louise Houck on September 12, 1948. They were married 67 years and were totally devoted to each other. She preceded him in death on December 18, 2015. He served his country honorably in the Army, Paratrooper Division. He was an inspector for NASA for over 20 years. He was an avid airplane enthusiast. He built an experimental T-18 plane for which he won the Wright Brothers Invitational Award and was featured in 'Sport Aviation' magazine. He is survived by daughters Jean (Manuel) Lima of Long Beach, Nancy (Gary) Decker of Lancaster, and Betty (Mike) Babcock of Lancaster; seven grandchildren: Timothy Lima; David (Gail Strouss) Decker, Daniel (Kelly) Decker and Dale (Jami) Decker; Donald (Jennifer) Limpus, John (Stephanie) Limpus and Christie Limpus-Hathaway (Neil). He also has numerous great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Erin and Devon Decker; Isabelle Decker; Naomi, Sophia and Dylan Decker; Michael and Maria Limpus; Chelsey and Anthony Limpus, Alyssa and Rhianna Howell; and Austin Limpus; and one great-great grandchild Zelion Morphy. Services will be on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Noon with viewing one hour prior to service at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, 1754 West Ave L-12, Lancaster, Calif.
