PEARCE, William L. Mar. 17, 1922 - Feb. 27, 2017 Born in Wynnewood, Okla. and passed away in Lancaster, Calif. A resident of the AV for 58 years, William served in the Army in World War II, a PFC in Battery C, 897th Field Artillery Batallion. He went on to work for Lockheed Martin where he retired and enjoyed the many projects he finished with his woodworking. William, also known as Lee or Mr. Lee, always put the Lord first in every thing he did. When he woke up in the morning the first thing he said was, "Ok, lets see what the Lord has planned for me today." He took pride in his family and his lifes accomplishments. The stories he told of his childhood, when he went overseas to fight in World War II and his life after will be cherished stories that will be passed on for generations. William is survived by children: Steven Pearce, Sandra Lain and Sharon Maynard; grandchildren: Brian Rawson, Dawn Quillen, Misty Sorensen; and many great- grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. A graveside service is planned for March 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Joshua Memorial.
