VAN BUSKIRK, Roger Steven Jan. 2, 1941-Dec. 13, 2016 Born in Inglewood, Calif., passed away in Palmdale, Calif. Roger enjoyed a long life his way. He spent many years coaching his boys' soccer teams and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. His career spanned almost 50 years in the Aerospace industry, retiring in 2009 as a Work Measurement Specialist. He loved camping, working on cars, watching the drag races and spent some years collecting guns and coins. His father, Raymond, loving sister, Sheila and nephew David passed before him. He leaves behind his wife, Susan; loving mother, Louise and dear sister Judy and her boys: Steve, Andy and Tom; sister Sheilas surviving children: Rhonda and Aimee; his 3 wonderful sons: Randy, Russ and Ryan, their mother Mary; their grandchildren: Remy, Renon, Rachel and Riley as well as Susans Children: Ryan, Sulinda, Tracy and Tamra and her grandchildren: Stevie, Austin, Ashleauna, C.J., Chryystal, Tyler, Cheyenne, Alexys, Mia and Kiley. he was loving, Generous and stubborn and was loved by so many. A memorial will be held at Halley Olsen Murphy in Lancaster on December 22, 2016 at 11:00 am. The family will enjoy lunch at his favorite "taco" restaurant, Don Juan in Quartz Hill. Friends are welcome to join us. Donations to the disabled Veterans organization would be greatly appreciated. We love you, Roger and will miss you always.
