JONES, Marjorie Ann Farmer Long-time AV resident. Born in Lancaster, Calif., Aug. 31, 1939; went to be with her beloved Papa in Heaven on Nov. 30, 2016. A 1957 AV High School Grad Marjorie spent her childhood on the family alfalfa ranch in east Lancaster, she remained in the valley most of her life. Preceded in death by sister Mary Charlotte Larson, mother Marie Farmer and father Charles 'Sam' Farmer from whom she inherited her great love of singing. Those who knew her even briefly noted her dedication to family and that she lived her father's example of kindness by 'never having met a stranger.' Margie was beautician and waitress, later working in the aerospace industry at Rockwell before medical retirement. She loved bowling at the Oasis bowl & could be found singing at Valley piano bars (like Oasis & Brakke's Inn) most weekends. Her life-size Christmas themed yard decorations brought much delight to visitors & neighbors alike. She is survived by her children Sherry (Rick) Harris, Jerry (Susan) Ruvolo and Radene Marie (Doug) Cook; her aunt, 8 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and many more 'adopted' loved ones whom she adored! Her life will be celebrated with a Disney dress-up party, Sat., Dec. 17, 2016 at the Lancaster American Legion, Post 311 (Ave. J and 40th St. East)2pm - 5pm. Fly free now, Mommy. You know the way - it's '2nd star to the right and straight on 'till morning.'
