KETCHUM, Richard Allen Born March 14, 1935 in Peetz, Colo. to Helen and Dyer Ketchum passed away peacefully in his sleep Nov. 30, 2016. Richard served 4 years in the Navy, and 17 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1975. He married Ida Ruth Davidson, New Carlisle, Ohio,. June 1960 while stationed at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. Volunteering with organizations honoring the troops was a past time for Richard. He was an Associate Member of the Antelope Valley Blue Star Mothers, worked with the Kids Charities of Antelope Valley, Dog Tags for Kids project, and putting Wreaths Across America and luminaries on the veteran's graves at Lancaster Cemetery. Richard is survived by wife, Ida, of Lancaster, Calif. sons, Phillip of Rosamond and Brian of Lancaster, granddaughters Crysta and Sheyenne, both of Rosamond, brother Phillip (Edna) of Charlottesville, Va., 2 step- grandchildren 6 step-great-grandchildren.
