WILLIAMSON, Jerry L. Age 75, died peacefully, surrounded by family on November 6, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nev., after a valiant fight with congestive heart failure. Jerry was born April 12, 1941 in Cimarron, N.M. and is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald R. Williamson and Mable Ruth (nee Davis) and his son, William R. Williamson. In addition to his wife of 54 years, Vickie (nee Timms) Williamson, he is survived by his sister, Joetta Murdock (Ed), aunts, Velda (nee Davis) Williamson, Frances (nee Williamson) Richardson; children, Tonja (David) Evans, Brian (Laurice), Adam (Jeanette), Samantha, Thomas, and David (Bronwen) as well as 11 grandchildren, and 11 step-grandchildren. He was a beloved uncle, cousin, and Grandad. Jerry grew up in Newhall/Saugus, Calif. and attended Hart High School, class of 1959. He attended California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. Jerry lived with his family in Palmdale for over 20 years and retired to Las Vegas, Nev., where he resided for the past 20 years. Jerry was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) and over the years served many positions in his ward, stake, and community. In the past several years he devoted countless hours to family history indexing and arbitration, processing just under a million records into Jerry is remembered for his charm, sense of humor, and his commitment to his family and church. He loved golfing, playing cards with family, crossword puzzles, and had a never-ending desire to keep family connected. Services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11:00am, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 39546 23rd Street West, Palmdale, Calif., 93551. Followed by graveside services at 1:30 pm, Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Palmdale, Calif. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation at .
