WALKER, Jewel Katurbus
WALKER, Jewel Katurbus Born Oct. 7, 1920 in Alicia, Pa. Passed away on Oct 19, 2016 in San Jose, Calif. A longtime Antelope Valley resident, Jewel grew up in Pa and NYC where she graduated from Washington Irving H.S. After World War II, she moved to Calif., and worked for Standard Oil both in San Francisco and Los Angeles. She married her husband, Kenneth B. Walker, in 1950 and settled in the AV in 1956. In 1960 she was hired by NASA, and worked there until her retirement in 1982. She was predeceased by her husband and a son, Kenneth M. Walker. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri (William) Mahan, and granddaughters: Erin, Page and Kelly Mahan. Private services were held.
