FISHER, RICHARD ROBERT
FISHER, Richard Robert Richard Robert Fisher died unexpectedly in his home on Oct. 23, 2016 in Palmdale, Calif. at the age of 70. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Cretin and Helen Fisher, his sister Peg Schmoeckel and first wife Samruay Fisher. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kyoko Fisher; 4 children: Sukanya Jackson, Melissa Domagalski, Mark Kawai, Patrick Fisher; 2 grandchildren: Roman and Mikayla Domagalski and 6 siblings: Dot Olmo, MaryBeth Hirsch, Bill Fisher, Debbi Phillips, Chrisie Sandy and Mark Fisher. Richard was born in Augusta, Georgia in 1946. Following his high school graduation, he joined the United States Air Force in August of 1967, serving his country for eight years. He maintained his career in the aerospace industry as an electronics technician finalizing with retirement from L3 Communications in Sylmar, Calif. Richard had an affection for photography, genealogy, and a double Jameson on the rocks but above all else a deep love of his family. He will be remembered for his strong opinions, storytelling and his love of family gatherings. His remains will be laid to rest near his parents at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas, Dec. 23, 2016 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers; donations to the Fisher House Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
