MARSHALL, JOELLA
MARSHALL, Joella 80, was called home on Oct. 7, 2016, after succumbing to injuries from a fall. A private family memorial service was held. Joella was born June 3, 1936, in Ft. Scott, Kansas to Harvey and Marie Mann. She moved to Calif. in 1952 where she resided until her death. She is survived by four children, Pam, Tom (Mercedes), Audrey Barrios (Rick), Lori Gottschalk (George), 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 brother, Harvelee Edward Mann and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mickey, infant daughter Susan, both parents and one brother, Bob Mann. Joella lived in many Southern California cities over the years but onsidered Palmdale her hometown. She loved beautiful shoes, music, reading, ballroom dancing, the Los Angeles Dodgers and was a devoted mother who loved and cared for her family above all else. Joella was a matriarch that created and nurtured a caring, close-knit family by being not just a loving mother but a respected friend, co-conspirator, adventure buddy, and confidant to her four children. She gave each of them a part of her that they will continue to give to each other even now after her passing. She was an elegant, loving, kind soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Until we meet again.
