FORD, William Luther Born Nov. 18, 1953 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Luther and Clara Ford. In 1974, Bill enlisted in the USAF as a missile technician. Throughout his military career, Bill earned numerous medals and awards, graduated from the NCO Academy, and served in support of Operation Desert Storm/Shield. Highlights of his military career include working on the ASAT Missile Defense System at Vandenberg AFB, Calif. and the Carbon Research Laboratory (AFRPL) at Edwards AFB, Calif. Bill won the worldwide AF talent competition and was twice selected to participate in Tops in Blue. After 20 years of military service, Bill retired and started his own small business- Sync Tone Studio and Productions-in Lancaster, Calif. which he owned and operated for the past 23 years. Bill's body was laid to rest at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C. with full military honors. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Deborah Sullivan Ford, daughters Julara and Jillian, grandson Jaylen; God-son Semaj Shields; father Luther Ford; sister Barbara Carpenter (Robert); and a host of relatives and friends.
