AGUIRRE, Raymond
AGUIRRE, Raymond Born July 2, 1956 in LA, Calif. to Alex and Mary Aguirre. He was brought home to Heaven to share his gift of humor Sept. 18, 2016. Ray was a long time AV resident, and married his wife Karen Aguirre (Jacobi) on May 16, 1981. They had five children to whom he was a dedicated family man. Ray enjoyed taking his kids on nature hikes to collect rocks and explore the desert which inspired his drawings. He worked in the aerospace industry at Plant 42 for many years, followed by a long career in the Parks and Maintenance Department for the City of Lancaster. Preceded in death by his parents Alex and Mary (Goethel) Aguirre, sister Jeanne Marie Fleming, nephew Stephen Aguirre, and followed in death by his brother Robert Aguirre. Survived by his siblings: Annette Aguirre (Mark Freitag), Pat Aguirre (Tom Turner), Jim Aguirre, Mary Volio, Elizabeth Broskoff (Chris); children: Christina Garcia (Dave), Rachel (Jeremy Carr), Matthew, Jessica, and Gemma Aguirre; 5 grandchildren, 8 nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces and nephews. Raymond had a charismatic ability to help people laugh even after he suffered a stroke. He was an extraordinary man who will be deeply missed and treasured by his family forever. The family is arranging a private ceremony and interment.
