BARRITT, George Arthur born Aug. 12, 1929, Kansas City, Mo. passed away Sat. Aug, 6, 2016 at AV Hospital, Lancaster. George grew up in Kansas City, Mo., his military service was for 22 years in the Navy, serving in Korean and Vietnam Wars. George lived in the AV from 1990 - 2016, 26 years. His hobbies included cards, pool, billiards and various computer hobbies, photos, music, bulletins. After the Navy, he served 15 years of Federal Civil Service supporting the department of Navy. In 1963 George and his wife Annie moved to San Diego, Calif. In 1990 they spent their retired years in Lancaster, Calif. During his time in Lancaster, he volunteered for a variety of organizations such as VFW and Sheriffs department. His favorite past-time was playing cards at Diamond Jim's. But what brought tears to his eyes was remembering his 22 years service in the Navy. He was so proud to have serviced our country and fought in two wars; Korean and Vietnam conflict. Followed by 15 years of Federal Civil Service supporting the department of Navy. He is survived by his spouse Annie Louise (Crane) Barritt, three sons, Philip, Clete and Kirk and two daughters, Kimberly and Peggy, four grandchildren. A Service will be held at Joshua Memorial Park , Lancaster, on Thursday Aug. 11, 2016 at 10:00 am.
