MOORE Carl Raymond Jr. (Ray)
MOORE, Ray (Carl) Passed away on March 18, 2016 after a valiant battle with brain cancer. He was 67. Ray was born in Washington, D.C. on October 24, 1948. After graduation from Palmdale High School, Ray earned his Associates Degree at Antelope Valley College and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1968 to 1972. He was employed by Lockheed for 40 years where he was assigned to the Skunk Works program for much of his tenure. Ray was skillful in electronics and general home and auto repair. He generously gave of his time using those skills to assist at his church, Valley View Nazarene,as well as repairs and projects of friends and family. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Jean Moore and his first wife, Joan Robinson Moore. He is survived by his wife, Carol Jones Moore; daughter, Jennifer Palmer (Anthony); grandson, Caleb Palmer; son, Christopher Moore; siblings, Cynthia Nixon (Ken), Patti Cyr (Bill), Susan Cox (Jim), and Mark Moore (Kirstin); as well as many nieces and nephews. Ray was a kind and generous man who quietly lived his life by working hard, caring for his family and serving his Lord. A memorial service will be held at Valley View Church of the Nazarene, 42338, 30th Street West in Lancaster on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rays name to Grace Resource Center, 45134 Sierra Highway, Lancaster, Calif., 93534
