ROUCH, Linda
ROUSH, Linda Thompson Passed away on March 17, 2016, in Clovis, Calif. after an extended illness. She was born March 5, 1945 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to Janice M. Greider and E. W. Thompson. Linda graduated from Newark High School, Newark, Ohio, in 1963. She received a BA from Ohio State University and an MA from California University. Both Linda and her mother were true Buckeye fans and enjoyed watching their football games. Linda had a true passion for children. Not only did her career center on early childhood education but she also chose to share her home and life with two adopted children. She was both a teacher and an administrator at Ocean View School District for over thirty years. She moved to the Antelope Valley in 2000 and taught kindergarten at Sierra Elementary until her retirement in 2010. Even after retirement, Linda continued to work with children by volunteering at her grandsons school, Ana Verde Hills. Linda was an active member of the Palmdale Methodist Church where she maintained her second passion, music. Throughout her life, she enjoyed playing the piano and singing and was always an active member in her churchs choir.She is survived by her mother, Janice Greider, and her sister, Sharyn Brown. She had two children, Dean Roush and Heather Hines as well as three grandchildren: Naomi Pyle, Joseph Roush, and William Chartsermsak. No formal affair is planned at this time.
