REYNOLDS, Robert Kittredge Born April 4, 1938 in San Francisco, Calif., passed away on Feb. 27, 2016 in Phoenix, Ariz. Bob grew up in San Rafael, Calif. and lived in the Antelope Valley from 1987-2004. He gave 56 years of public service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He started his career working on the San Francisco Bay model in Sausalito during summers while he was in High School and for two years after graduating from UC Berkeley in 1960. He joined the army in 1962, and after his 3 years military service, he continued with the Corps in the San Francisco district office from 1965-1978. In 1978, he moved to the Los Angeles District, working on flood control in Tucson, Ariz. In 1982, Bob went to Vandenberg AFB and worked in support of the MX Missile project until 1984. Still in Los Angeles District, he then went to Ft. Irwin as the Assistant Area Engineer, and to Edwards AFB in Lancaster in 1987, also as the Assistant Area Engineer, and as the Chief of the Contract Administration Branch. He stayed in the High Desert Area Office until his 'retirement' in 1998. Since then, he has worked as a rehired annuitant on Corps projects in Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Tucson, Sacramento, and Nellis AFB. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his first wife, Linda Catherine Reynolds in 1978, with whom he had 3 children, David Reynolds of Mt. Shasta, Calif., Alexis (Robert) Gillespie of Lancaster, Calif., and Paula Reynolds of Mt. Shasta, Calif. He is also survived by his current wife of 34 years, Sharon Reynolds of Show Low, Ariz., and had grandchildren: Jessica, Jeremiah, Brandon, Brittany, Brianna, Nicolas, Christian, Michael, Eric and ten great-grandchildren.
