ROLLER, Willfred (Bill)
ROLLER, Wilfred (Bill) Born March 10, 1928 Cambridge, Oh. Passed away February. 17, 2016 World War II, US Army Air Force Veteran. Bill was a Baptist Pastor for over 35 years, serving in Chicago, Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo. and Newhall, Calif., before retiring to Hewitt Texas. in 1989. Not content to rest on his laurels, he turned to Substitute Teaching for Midways High School, Hewitt, Texas, for 24 years. Bill stepped into the presence of Jesus last Wednesday after being in hospice care for a week. He fought a valiant fight against a variety of illnesses since April 2015. He was greatly loved by all the congregations that he served. He left a wonderful spiritual legacy for family and friends to follow. Bill is survived by his wife, Rebecca; daughter, Cheryl Shiplett (Darrell); granddaughter, Karmae and grandson, Jarrod. Son, Mark Roller (Debra); grandsons, Trent and Nathan Roller; granddaughters, Amanda Roller, Kimberly Roller, and Lana Downs, and 6 great grandchildren. Sister, Carolyn Mills and family (Missouri) In lieu of flowers, Bill ask that donations be made to Desert Christian Schools Scholarship Fund. A celebration of Bill's life will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11 am at Grace Chapel, Lancaster, in Centennial Hall, Pastor Chris Johnson officiating.
