REYES, Larry The strong man with a quick wit and a light up the room smile, passed away Feb. 5, 2016 at his home in Lancaster. Larry went home to be with the Lord after a brief, yet courageous, battle with pancreatic cancer. Larry was born in Bakersfield, Calif. on June 9, 1950 to Jose and Lorenza Reyes, the youngest of seven children. As a child, Larry enjoyed sports and played football through High School. He went on to study at Mission College and began a career as a Chemical Dependency and Behavior Specialist. He had a driven need to always help others to "Be Well." Larry married Dottie Carton and they raised two sons, Justin and Jared. While Larry had many hobbies through the years, all would agree that his true passion was being a devoted Father and Grandfather. The commitment and dedication to his family was his greatest joy. Larry is survived by his sons Justin and Jared, daughter-in-law Holly and twin Granddaughters McKenna and Reagan. He is also survived by his sister Gloria, and Brothers Tony and Manuel. Services will be held at 2p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall.
