CLINE Harold Eugene Gene
CLINE, Harold Eugene 'Gene' Born January. 22, 1922 in Hastings, Neb. Passed away on December. 29, 2015 in Apple Valley, Calif at the age of 93. Harold was preceded in death by wife, Mabel Geraldine 'Gerry' in 1992. They had a beautiful 49 years together. Harold lived most of his life in Chowchilla, Palmdale and Apple Valley. After graduating from high school he served in the 3035th Army Air Force in the 376th Bombardment Group. He was a radio operator and upper turret gunner in a B-24. Harold flew 51 missions over enemy territory and was awarded numerous awards including the Distinguished Flying Medal and Presidential Battle Honors Citation Bar. Harold and family moved to Palmdale in 1954 where he worked for several aircraft companies ending up at Edwards Air Force Base until his retirement in 1983. Once again he distinguished himself by his outstanding achievements by earning a number of special recognitions. Harold married Jeanne Dover in 1994 and moved to Apple Valley. They had a loving and wonderful marriage for 21 years. Harold is survived by his wife Jeanne. he is also survived by daughters Janice Gove (Richard) and Patti Mann (Mike), step-daughters, Judy Brinneman (Dale) and Sue Jacob (David). Grandchildren, Kim Cassidy (Jim), Michelle Moore (Brian), Stephen Mann (Alison), Gerri Lynn Mann, Allison Izraelev, and Megan Perez (Tim), step-grandchildren, Debbie Carson (Burton), Carol Kurtz (Keith), David Brinneman (Deanna), and Cyndi Dillard (Lee). Great grandchildren, Jared, Katlyn, Parker, Isabella, Jacob, Wyatt, Sofia and Caleb, step-great grandchildren, Sydney Culbreath (Antoine), Elise Martin, Taylor Brinneman (Jessika), Jordon Kurtz, Kristan Brinneman, and Lauren Brinneman. A true gentleman, incredibly talented, who led by example. He will be missed by all who knew him and especially by his adoring family. Memorial service is to be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00 at Church of the Valley, 20700 Standing Rock Road, Apple Valley. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Community Hospice of Victor Valley, 16147 Kamana Road, Apple Valley, 92307 for their excellent care given to Harold and family. They are truly remarkable people. Also, donations can be made to American Cancer Association.
