HOFSTAD Virginia
HOFSTAD, Virginia Budd Vail Born June 23, 1923 in Syosset Long Island, N.Y. Virginia passed away Nov. 21, 2015 surrounded by the family she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Franklin Hofstad in 1976. Virginia was a World War II Bride and had met her future husband Robert at a USO Dance. They were married 32 years. Palmdale was her home for 60 years, and during that time she worked as a Bank Teller in Palmdale, Lancaster and Quartz Hill. She was an active Member of the Eastern Star, and the White Shrine. Ginny a she was better known, volunteered at the Palmdale Playhouse for 8 years, and was once a member of the Boogie Woogie Mamas dance group. Dancing and singing was something she enjoyed her entire life. She also took Art lessons and painted many beautiful scenes using water color as her medium. Virginia was never without her coordinated jewelry, rings, earrings, bracelets, the more the better and rhinestones were the best! Most of all, her happiness was found with her family and the time she was able to spend with them. She is survived by her daughter Violet Christini, son in-law Vincent Christini, grandson Victor Christini, and granddaughter Candace Christini and great-granddaughter Leah. Memorial pending after January 2016.
