HEWITT, Mabel Louise
HEWITT, Mabel Louise Born in Tucson, Ariz., on Sept. 26, 1918 to Carl and Ada Arntzen, left us to join her husband of 68yrs, Walter Charles Hewitt, in glory on Oct. 10, 2015 in Lancaster, Calif. Mabel moved to Pasadena, Calif., when she was 2yrs. old. It was there at only 12yrs. of age in 1930, she met her future husband, Walter at a teen dance party. Mabel and Walter danced on together for 76yrs., (married 68yrs.) until he went on to Heaven before her in 2006. Mabel is survived by her 4 children, Shirley Delaini, Sharron Corbin, Suzette Hibbert and Walter Hewitt; as well as 7 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and was a resident of the AV for 62yrs. Described by her children and grandchildren as a true saint and the living embodiment of God's grace, Mabel's indomitable faith and unshakeable devotion to her family has created a legacy of love that will carry on for countless generations. The tremendous sorrow suffered in her absence is only exceeded by the abundant joy and solemn comfort found in the knowledge that she is back in the arms of her love. Visitation and viewing will be held from 5-7pm, Fri., Oct. 16, 2015 at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals & Cremations, Lancaster. Memorial/Requiem Mass, 11am, Sat., Oct. 17, 2015 at St. Andrews Anglican Church.
