FISHER, Theresa McDaniel
FISHER, Theresa McDaniel Born on February 5, 1938 in Atlanta, Ga., passed away on September 23, 2015 Palmdale, Calif. Theresa lived in the AV 40 years (1975-2015). She was employed by Civil Service, the CDC and NASA. She became a full time homemaker raising 3 sons. Later in life she became an investor and philanthropist. Theresa studied at the University of Georgia, was elected to Who's Who for Outstanding Young Women in America in 1973. After raising her sons, she became interested in many of the issues impacting the Antelope Valley including the high-speed rail, Airport expansion, anti-drug interdiction and re-zoning. She was passionate about the protection of children, animals and those living in her neighborhood. She was committed to cancer research. Saturdays in the fall were spent watching the play of her beloved Georgia Bulldogs.Theresa is survived by her sons, Michael Fisher, Andrew Fisher and Christopher Fisher, and grandchildren, Matthew Fisher, Hannah Fisher, Rachel Fisher, Megan Fisher, Ethan Fisher and Jackson Fisher and many blessed friends acquired over the years. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne A. Fisher . Viewing/Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals and Cremations, 44831 North Cedar Ave., Lancaster, Calif. Theresa is to be returned to Georgia and interred at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA on Monday, October 5, 2015 with Pastor Jay Rice officiating.
