TAYLOR, Robert Jeffery Jeff
TAYLOR, Robert Jeffery 'Jeff' Son, brother, and friend - died on Saturday August 8, 2015 in Lancaster, Calif., due to complications following heart surgery. He was 59. Jeff was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 26, 1956 to Vernon and Roberta Taylor. Vernon was a Physical Therapist in the U.S. Air Force, and Roberta was a housewife. Jeff spent a few grade school years, in the 1960's, in England when his father was stationed at Lakenheath AFB. His family moved to the Antelope Valley in 1967. He graduated from Antelope Valley College in 2002 with an Associate in Arts degree in Video Design and Production for Multimedia, summa cum laude. He had a passion for woodworking and was known to make custom furniture pieces for his friends and family. Jeff will also be remembered among his on-line friends for mastering the game of World-of-Warcraft with the character name Viper. He spent years working as a cabinet installer, and most recently a taxi driver for Desert Sky Taxi Cab Company. He is survived by his father; his sister Edie (Taylor) Mertz, and his brother in-law Keith Mertz. He is predeceased by his mother, who passed away in 2001. Jeff will live on in our memories and in our hearts every time we fly kites, give treats to our pets, play World-of-Warcraft, see his woodwork, listen to good music, or enjoy the love and friendship of those who were in his life.
